Dear Family and Friends,                                           Monday, January 19, 2015 at 2:18 p.m. (PST)

This week has been really good! Rachel was baptized on Saturday! This week it has been rainy, but in total this winter has been sunnier than normal. It has only rained a little these past few months. This is what my week has looked like.

Monday - preparation day! We played basketball and some scatter-ball. After preparation day we had a lesson set up. He did not answer the door, or phone, even though we are pretty sure he was home. He has not answered any of our texts or calls the rest of the week.

Tuesday - the main highlights of today is that we taught Lori and Rachel. Lori is really friendly. She went to a family history activity this last week and has got really into it. She wants to go to a family history center. After dinner today we taught Rachel. We taught her laws and ordinances. The lesson was really good. She is ready to be baptized!

Wednesday - today we had a zone meeting in the morning. We taught Andrew after lunch. We taught him the rest of the laws including chastity.

Thursday - today Elder Williams went to a training meeting for leaders (he is a district leader). I just hung out with the other Elders that are companions with district leaders. We did some studying, etc. Elder Williams got back at about 2:00.

Friday - weekly planning today! Basically did that all day!

Saturday - Today we helped some people move. We were mostly taking stuff to DI and throwing stuff away. The guy moving said we could take anything we wanted. I took home an old knife that I liked (you know how I collect knifes). Elder Bucher claimed a TV and an entertainment center. Missionaries are not allowed to have either, so I am not sure what is going to happen there. He even called a member with a truck to transport them to their apartment. He says his plan is to ship them home. But that would be super expensive and pointless. After that Elder Williams and I went to the church and filled the baptismal font. The baptism went really good. Elder Lyon baptized her. He was one of the elders here before us. Anyways, Elder Williams and I did a short talk on the restoration while Rachel and Elder Lyon were getting dressed.

Sunday - Today Rachel was confirmed and received the Gift of the Holy Ghost. That happened during Grass Valley Sacrament meeting. Elder Williams confirmed her. After dinner we had a lesson with Jake. We taught him the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He is even considering serving a mission after he gets baptized!

So today we went on a hike in the gorge. It went pretty good. We saw a few waterfalls. I should be sending some pictures. Most of the zone went on the hike with us. Then we went shopping and now Elder Williams is getting a haircut. I am writing and sending this letter from sports clips.
